Award: Award 1 is a regional award leading to award 2 which is the single national award presented in San Francisco each year to a contractor demonstrating excellence in the completion of a heavy civil works contract for the Army Corps of Engineers.

Getting started - both sides of the harbor entrance are to be fully rebuilt by encapsulating them with steel sheet piles.
Both pier heads under construction.
Rebar is placed on top of the old structure which is now encapsulated in new steel sheet piles.
The outer portion of the left breakwater is finished with a concrete cap and handrail.

Upon completion, the 2000 foot long harbor entrance is a showpiece built to last the tests of time.
